Fashion Society's Charity Fashion Show!

So you may or may not know that i am part o f the University of Liverpool's Fashion society. I joined the society at the beginning of this term really excited about what events and knowledge they could offer me and they haven't disappointed me. So far this year they have had two themed socials, discounted entry to the vintage kilo sale, a clothes swap and finally a charity Fashion show! All this in 1 semester! So as i mentioned Fashion society hosted their first ever charity fashion show on the 1st of December 2016 at the Library in the Guild of students. Members were given the opportunity to be Events assistants for the fashion show which i thought was really cool as i've always wanted to work a fashion show and now i have some experience. As part of role i helped to dress the room that the show a was taking place in , putting out snacks (propercorn ) and putting out the show programmes which described the looks that would be shown in the show.

As well as testing the lights show and helping to select the soundtracks to suit the various themes each collection had.

One the most exciting things that i got to do for the fashion show was to be the MUA which came as a surprise to me as i was asked to step in last minute but it was definitely an experience i won't forget as the MUA I created the eyeshadow looks for the show the overarching theme was glitter but i tailored each look to the outfits and the colour schemes they'd be wearing i the show and i did an alright job to say it was my first time doing makeup on other people i was pretty proud of myself. The show was a success we had a full house, everything went to plan and the models looked amazing! It was such a cool thing to have been a part of and i can't wait to see what fashion society has planned for next semester!
